Authorities say almost 141,000 marijuana crops have been seized in Southern California this week in a large raid concentrating on dozens of unlawful cultivation websites.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Division says some 700 legislation enforcement officers served warrants Wednesday at greater than 118 marijuana grows within the Anza Valley, an inland area between Los Angeles and San Diego.
Along with the crops, authorities seized greater than 3,000 kilos (1,361 kilograms) of processed marijuana, 17 rifles and 10 handguns. Eight individuals have been arrested.
The Sheriff’s Division says in current months there have been crimes of murder, theft, theft, kidnapping and theft of utilities related to unlawful grows within the Anza Valley.
