TORONTO — Cannabis corporation CannTrust Holdings Inc. says its manufacturing facility in Vaughan, Ont., has been rated non-compliant by Overall health Canada.

Overall health Canada report on CannTrust Facility

The corporation says it was notified by Overall health Canada on Friday and added that remedial actions had been underway for CannTrust facility.

The selection by the regulator was primarily based on an inspection of CannTrust facility in July following revelations that Overall health Canada had discovered the company’s greenhouse in Pelham, Ont., to be non-compliant.

The scandal has led to the ousting of the company’s chief executive and the chairman of its board of directors.

CannTrust is completely Co-operating with Overall health Canada

The corporation had currently implemented a voluntary hold on the sale and shipment of all cannabis items though Overall health Canada reviewed its Vaughan manufacturing facility.

CannTrust Holdings Inc. says that, it continues to operate with Overall health Canada and will present additional facts of the hold and other developments as they come to be obtainable.

“We have retained independent consultants who have currently began addressing some of the deficiencies noted in Overall health Canada’s report,” CannTrust CEO Robert Marcovitch mentioned in a statement.

“We are searching at the root causes of these challenges and will take what ever remedial actions are needed to bring the Firm into complete regulatory compliance as speedily as probable.”
