SACRAMENTO – The Bureau of Cannabis Manage nowadays issued the following statement from Bureau Chief Lori Ajax relating to Weedmaps’ announcement that it would no longer promote illegal cannabis organizations:
“Yesterday’s announcement by Weedmaps is a step forward for the legal California cannabis sector, which will help customers in identifying licensed cannabis organizations when hunting to acquire protected cannabis. The Bureau is continuing enforcement activities against organizations not complying with cannabis marketing laws.”
In June, the Bureau officially kicked off its “Get #Weedwise” campaign to encourage customers to only shop at licensed retailers. For additional details on the campaign, please visit https://www.bcc.ca.gov/customers/weedwise.html
All industrial cannabis activity in California needs a state-issued license from a single of the state’s 3 cannabis licensing authorities.
